+ w9 g* z  v5 heat yourself into a resolution to 'take off a few extra pounds' if you can

8 ^; W& l& G# H% E7 H?Whether it's sharing cookies and candies at work, or having an evening out
1 j" e: _4 G* J) Q+ N0 Oat a party or dinner, you can have Christmas food and enjoy it. While you seem
5 r( i7 d8 d% A) E$ M. {2 P- ato be eating heartily with a smile, the key is to have a secret strategy of
( y, U9 ?& M2 V- w$ J- [0 N) Mmoderation. It involves sticking to a plan that can be called 'Eating on a

risk appearing like the Grinch who stole Christmas if your response will always 7 t4 Y$ `0 ]- G9 o* ?
be something like, 'Uh..no..bah humbug' all the time that some Christmas goodies
7 e5 t/ X. Q$ X; c0 Lare offered. It will seem as if you aren't in the spirit of the holidays
4 Z) |0 Z: B$ S3 V, uespecially since at that time of year everyone is usually in a festive and more
) u7 h8 b: Y8 o& _7 zrelaxed mood, and the pace at work is usually slower.
. r5 J' Q$ T3 G& M?A practical way to partake in Christmas goodies, for example, is to 4 G5 g2 }8 |) S1 W0 w( U1 A
substitute some holiday cookies for say the bagel that you usually have with
7 N3 I7 ?" }  ]* u3 ibreakfast or for a mid-morning snack. And instead of just taking one cookie, 7 t6 ?/ ]# p1 T# `2 F4 m+ U
from the platter, which is noticeable and likely will encourage a colleague to 8 K5 S) J9 v8 ]8 Q! Z. x/ H
tell you to have more, take three instead. That's where the plan can come into 8 u0 t) p4 D5 k' o0 P
play. You can then enjoy the cookies over two or more hours,ed hardy hoodies, because nobody will

?Another strategy is to bring - bake or buy - low calorie Christmas cookies , S8 Y! \, q" ^- v2 N# `" y1 d
and candies to work to counteract others that are being offered. Since eating
' ^- A" ?; Y4 `( `! fhealthy is highly encouraged, health-conscious cookies will not be looked down
3 t  L( n) ~: w4 bupon so long as they taste great. A box of sugar-free Christmas chocolate
9 ^2 f: x! a) b! Qcandies for example will look just as delightful as regular chocolate candies.
, G  N, e8 Z# O; B  W0 Y1 _It's interesting to note that in a poll sponsored by the National Confectioners 6 P) K* C$ R* M4 ~; n& ^& j8 k

on a Budget' plan means that serving portions and the choice of food selected

At a party where more desserts and sweets are likely to be available, a few of , T7 s9 [% I* g; h
the selections can be sampled. If the urge to try everything can't be resisted, % K; C; j# y# v' x6 P9 y
