Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and ! Z3 L/ ]/ D4 u8 u( M7 r$ N

the Board of Directors;

including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to 8 f L; |; n; G4 h
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; ' t- K7 ]) `9 D/ C; ]
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion $ m: N6 K/ I' b: ~- G7 s
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; 4 ]$ a7 M, J/ S6 |
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the

• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue
# r! t5 H, ]5 e1 qcommitments;

• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective 1 k2 J1 ~/ m3 {
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;

• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to * D, f. E, P2 R4 t2 `; T2 \- x: _

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring . z8 l9 z7 a! g9 W# j
the implementation of systems to manage these risks; $ k- F% a: ?5 Z6 [6 L* D3 L
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
8 V) y/ ]6 b i9 v4 j7 lperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED % A5 s9 J# |' C" L
the forthcoming year; $ U! c% D! ~( o% W Q3 v
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
" L/ Z: Q0 R- Q9 r" e$ Y; Upractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of
' y f" C- S3 lYWCA Canada; and
+ Q" ]1 W, F* }• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

Required Experience
. m' V0 K. o2 N0 ~$ f0 A• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; . t0 Q% {% z$ w& _2 G* Z
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation + c9 a7 q* z( ^9 ]0 V4 {
abilities; 3 K$ ^" H5 p! D$ E( O
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, 6 U# j$ e$ ]* b |3 ^/ `! }% \
Networking and Fundraising;
