An elderly couple had two daughters.

The older daughter was married to a man who sold umbrellas, while the younger one was married to a man who sold straw hats.                
大女儿嫁给了一个卖雨伞的，二女儿嫁给了一个卖草帽的。
' m2 T5 p0 a  R/ C5 kTherefore, whenever it was a fine day,                
( }( I1 [1 M0 C* M# W所以，每当遇到晴天的时候，
( i+ @  `" ^3 R: o, Lthe mother would sigh: “Oh, it’s a bad day for my elder son-in-law.”
+ \; n; I. y( `做母亲的就会叹气：“哎！大女婿的雨伞卖不出去了。”
) U1 y  l( ?) x2 xBut if it was a rainy day, she would sigh as well: “Nobody’s going to buy my younger son-in-law’s straw hats.”
遇到雨天，她还是会叹气：“二女婿的草帽没人买了！” ，
# [" P1 z) L2 W' Z# zSo she was never happy, rain or shine.
9 A( Q! y7 f4 [" j  V所以，晴天雨天老太太都不高兴。
: R' B8 e" k: r& {* `But her husband saw the matter in a different light.He was happy, rain or shine.         
$ T) G8 Q8 f9 x9 O可是老先生却恰恰相反，不论晴天雨天，老先生都很高兴。
  [+ \' ~5 A! X% h( }On sunny days, he would think that his younger son-in-law would sell lots of straw hats,
0 C% O4 a% y9 j$ [5 Z晴天时他想到二女婿的草帽会卖得好，
and on rainy days he would think of his elder son-in-law doing well selling his umbrellas.
* G. G. g( c6 k9 w! d雨天时他想到大女婿的雨伞会卖得好，
6 E6 A" {8 d+ U5 [+ F0 A7 E: CIn reality, happiness is a kind of attitude.

0 A8 ]! `1 T1 g3 cIt is never far from you, depending on whether you are contented or not.
