The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

! ^1 {! R: }$ w+ q% \§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
: Q* K, u1 Q. w  s§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution : h4 |% w2 `4 G9 e3 c7 ?$ C
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
5 ]2 P8 i0 B$ N§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times5 ^3 b2 P& }2 ^* P9 r
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk4 G3 g; L3 e; r8 Y0 }$ z. y
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert
# N, O7 h% U# a5 x) \% w% E§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties

§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience
1 L% p6 a& n. x  x§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision* ^- U* G8 c/ X$ D" ^& Y
§ Fundamental commitment to customer service
1 F9 \2 |9 z& d) ?" B& b§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues& a3 @3 \7 Z- w) D+ K8 [) o: V/ t7 b
§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware/ A: y& y' G+ Z( y0 A  V9 a
§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software

B# U+ `7 ^9 {) j§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

Position Summary:# ^4 |* _# Y' ]) |0 o
The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). ; F7 r7 K1 ?- V

Responsibilities:

§ Manage and coach staff in IT group# B0 q+ \3 ^: B' N
§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support' e/ i& W9 }  g( x4 m) p- U
§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives, l! v% G/ ]! q, e8 C  s
§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports! ^( b9 K9 w9 f! F
§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation
1 [  t2 P: B8 |" L' u) `7 q§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
' p0 r3 k+ \" x# c: V9 A2 d2 O§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
6 w2 H: W$ b: ~7 ?§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access( U/ c4 J7 A8 K" L* ^& }
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures5 M  j( q  S! b" `7 j2 M- M
§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan
% d1 B2 Z! z* N; m§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk4 r, i# D1 P3 y- r. X8 }
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert

§ Manage all printers in the building

" T7 X* s' V# E5 d3 ^1 u4 b: X在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
