The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
: o1 t6 |. |+ O) ?# l# @§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution
5 q. }. [: [ V§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation( [: T% j, R J3 x. Q3 _" ^
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
$ T" p" ~/ N$ q5 g§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
" J& ~$ u8 R: \) a l$ ]; w9 ]* k§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert

Qualifications:
9 ~( ?* l- r D. C4 k) ]) n§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience
; E7 I6 e7 o: n4 N" e% q* _§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision
3 \2 b% K# ?7 Z' ~$ m/ O§ Fundamental commitment to customer service
+ `" a& r: c3 x( X# W2 A§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues
# q9 i0 f; g, Y( z§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware

Position Summary:

A- L7 t7 [* }- r/ T# LThe IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

8 Y: g! @5 a" n3 P2 d1 d+ _§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to

§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access

§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan
