The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

: Q* K, u1 Q. w s§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution : h4 |% w2 `4 G9 e3 c7 ?$ C
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
5 ]2 P8 i0 B$ N§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times5 ^3 b2 P& }2 ^* P9 r
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk4 G3 g; L3 e; r8 Y0 }$ z. y
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert

§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience

§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). ; F7 r7 K1 ?- V

§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives, l! v% G/ ]! q, e8 C s
§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports! ^( b9 K9 w9 f! F
§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation

§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan
