CALGARY - A fire has halted operations at one of Suncor Energy's two oilsands upgraders north of Fort McMurray, the company said Tuesday.: T* L# R" X* N, }$ c% T1 [& t

No one was hurt in the incident which happened after a fire broke out around midnight at its upgrader #1, Suncor said.9 L5 a2 C2 m) Y3 {7 M" \
/ ~) x( m- B) L: F* U7 vThe energy giant said the 125,000-barrel-per-day unit was shut down after the fire, and it is currently assessing damage.6 x. ?% K+ G: y+ p
7 L% z: W; ]6 G# pSuncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil., P: y' f& g9 l, Q

According to Reuters, Suncor could not specify how much crude the unit was producing before the incident.
