, u' B8 P# ]( K# c6 d$ f2 N2 qAssists in the planning, organization and implementation of meaningful programs for the residents of the Extended Care Centre in collaboration with the Activation Manager.
$ w% w6 R' \9 v1 Y4 a* |% ~/ w7 AWorks co-operatively with the Activation Manager, facility volunteers, families and other staff members.
+ R* [) p! k0 EMaintains appropriate resident and department records including assessments, evaluations of planned programs detailing anticipated individual participation.
! m& o1 I8 ~& J. q( dMaintains effective communication and good human relations with residents, families, volunteers and staff of other departments.
9 P2 |6 v. m. {; K7 eIs knowledgeable of the Resident Bill of Rights/Governing Principles and endeavors to promote it.
$ r6 H' u' Z7 k  r) O7 }8 p" z8 m5 lParticipates in team conferences to plan, develop and assess individual resident care plans.
Qualifications
Must have a community college recreation certificate or diploma or equivalent, as approved by the Activation Manager. Experience working with seniors, particularly in a long term care setting.
4 J$ O9 w' @; d( ZMust be able to communicate in written and verbal form and maintain an acceptable standard of behaviour and appearance.
) K, O; A# K% G8 [) Q. AComputer skills an asset.
An energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly and who possess excellent problem solving, planning and creative abilities.
Proficiency in a second language is an asset.
