Terms: Full-time (35 hours per week).

- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
: E2 U. l) b _5 ]- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
( c+ D) b$ z4 x1 _" j# l8 w) F- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
+ Z: i3 F1 n% w# a1 t# l- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
% ^! H( C- Z/ ~1 o K U- v- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health* U# p' L8 M) D

Key Qualifications:: }) i9 }: O0 @; s8 A( n
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
8 @: p+ ]( g7 h& j3 t- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement0 q2 W, Z8 P/ \: v& R2 o% N* s$ u
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others% `" G; r7 f* E, E
- Experience doing program development: T- l7 f1 ~2 n+ `5 i/ A5 Y! J1 w
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
& _. V2 w2 {1 J# D* _ U* Q- Self-directed and able to take initiative
7 D4 B* G. O/ D/ P- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset/ Y% J0 D- ^2 @- `+ v0 ]
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license
