" K: Y! K6 _) K7 ~Terms: Full-time (35 hours per week).
Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

Responsibilities:
" }( {& p( Z' f6 o-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health


Key Qualifications:
' K# ^0 |* X" t  S$ R-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
9 K( W. b: l9 i-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
% d& H) t; ]' W- R  h-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
* _8 {7 T9 f. E% ]# [0 n-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license


Assets:
-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
8 K) h0 C: N: H  f) P$ x# u-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
# c' u) O! W, t$ {& X3 U; m, |-        Skills in marketing & promotions
-        Some evening and weekend work may be required

Other: The successful candidate will be required to undergo a police security check and child welfare check at their own expense.
