Position: Project Coordinator, Smart Choices.

- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
_8 |2 w; S4 m$ W7 K+ i* R- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling; Y, N; L9 B( E4 i( Q
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups. ^' b e8 T$ J, U3 g
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
s) h1 Y6 W/ I, r7 M. C- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:8 {, J: X( ~+ O: \. H
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences, ^* J ^" H2 U0 B0 A
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement/ w5 S0 j0 A) g x1 a4 m
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others: Y O' v6 C5 A# d
- Experience doing program development' _' L j5 T) s) U
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
4 I5 F, Q& d- m" B- Self-directed and able to take initiative- @) g3 L% h( d' W5 |: B
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset0 j) C; N+ i. b9 l6 o
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

- Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation

- Skills in marketing & promotions
