Responsibilities:. S( z* K1 a' c4 Q5 r- X
- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
3 q4 @" {# z$ G! I9 N- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling {! @, r: d3 _
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
$ d8 N" ]# o$ S9 ^5 s' M U' L- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs& }# v8 N* p7 m5 h7 }
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

0 R4 `: n8 Q6 c8 x M- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
4 z3 I5 \" m9 G: z& V; y- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
- A) z s2 W( G, o( d- w4 x- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
: `% e. T( m) t F( M* J- Experience doing program development. W; b+ E3 k' R. d' t+ j$ ]
- Strong organizational and coordination skills3 h. Y) n+ [' C9 {
- Self-directed and able to take initiative) H4 A$ _2 J0 Q" }. s
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
4 s$ s" \/ Q; J7 r; `* A0 ]( e8 y- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license+ G! O" Y0 ]( Z1 V$ T

- Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
