Responsibilities:/ d1 h9 {9 s( a- o4 O/ _! Z
- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
, m3 l+ P7 l) Y" {# m9 d: e- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling* r q+ ^$ F- |# K; S3 Q/ y" E q
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
0 o, O0 v0 W' t( b4 G2 h- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs" r9 L1 W2 i' w: ]" M
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

4 e, ^) R; Z# r- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
3 M) ^. r$ T, Q+ N4 q/ u- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement& Z" j1 h* o8 f/ l! q9 `( z4 `
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others; P) k) Q% }. M6 h: c- x
- Experience doing program development: O. X& L: z' r) \9 r
- Strong organizational and coordination skills; v* P4 D' e# ~4 O1 N! Q8 M3 R) H
- Self-directed and able to take initiative" q: B- b0 I' c( g
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
