You can't use it as a driver's license in Canada.

After you pass Learner's test, you don't have to wait for 1 year to go for the road test if the registry people think you're qualified. They will consider the number of years of your Chinese driver's license.

* O- t9 l0 E0 p6 TNot sure if you can use it in Alberta, but the translation is acceptable in Nova Scotia. I suggest you contact the license office.
