your own health. Alberta Health and Wellness points out that the# ]; x8 q2 W) W
influenza virus is contagious and is spread person to person via close
9 @" ~* _ a( c8 `# m) qcontact. The virus also rests on hard surfaces such as counters and& {) W, p1 w4 |2 B! R! o' N4 j; r
doorknobs and can spread when people touch contaminated surfaces and1 D. Y2 \. e( |# v1 ~
then unknowingly transfer the virus to their eyes, nose or mouth.. ^4 ^8 Y: f9 w8 Z% V
Practicing good preventive hygiene (e.g., wash your hands and cover your
F" x5 C# k2 {5 ecough) and following the self-care practices as outlined by Alberta' b( P$ G: @( D' [/ d
Health and Wellness will greatly assist in minimizing the chance of
