, I4 l$ P1 o( A8 F/ ~- g  s) y8 M; Z# g9 H The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).
Job Duties/Responsibilities  
-  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
  ~. i+ Q, e! `; G' T. l-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
+ S) K/ o. F4 _& c-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;
7 }5 v2 s. C! g-  Work in a team-oriented atmosphere and contribute to the ongoing success of the Balzac Complex;

  Z. k: {+ D# n% [ - Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
2 G  U: N  X; k( r-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
( u- e2 a. |) C2 ~4 f, H' _-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
8 Z+ b& M; C  z+ C8 q/ D1 T3 J. s, m-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
