THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:

" X7 j9 _8 l* j/ JThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
Eligibility Criteria
4 b  r, Z1 g% ]  m# t& X6 U$ T' BAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
9 I+ U% Q9 y5 H9 q' q9 \9 \9 @" Q0 h•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
' v) h  y) v  x  ?- u' c* V0 ?/ w•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
1 b" l3 l* g# L•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
$ k5 \3 D7 y3 q/ b. p- m. q•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada
$ d$ c) @4 v1 ^" z9 L5 L4 F•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
•Lack access to professional networks

2 F+ E# E! ?. I: e5 A; XThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
