) q- i! l. J# W! v* J+ gThis program is for immigrants and members of visible minorities who have an interest in a career in law enforcement.

  q2 ~7 N& a& j1 W: `+ oStart date: November 2, 2009 End date: March 31, 2010.
7 I* u# O7 `1 FPrograms run from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm
Location: Edmonton Mennonite Centre for Newcomers, 8914 118 Avenue

; E  {- t5 d6 x" a& E9 [9 }- BYou must be/have:
+ G- w& V: V5 ~# U# \( s• Alberta High School Diploma (or equivalent)
7 V+ P+ A, Y' \; p1 C$ H6 B' v3 v• Unemployed or underemployed
% A8 M4 P* o! v% B: v% G• Minimum 18 years of age
% ~% C" u  P! s, ]0 z  X3 C• Good moral character
• Good health and physical condition
& _5 o" H8 l1 v$ i• Good written and verbal communication skills – must be at a CLB 6+
• Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license
• No criminal convictions for which a pardon has not been granted
• Eligible for financial assistance, or willing to pay tuition
• Citizenship documents: Permanent Resident Card or recent Canadian
