Police Service Preparation Program

This program is for immigrants and members of visible minorities who have an interest in a career in law enforcement.

Start date: November 2, 2009 End date: March 31, 2010.
" n& `% X+ l& h  M% zPrograms run from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm

Entrance Criteria
! u" ]9 T9 P9 B2 M0 C' z% c% YYou must be/have:
! ]3 _/ L' V, p9 Y$ y• Alberta High School Diploma (or equivalent)
1 A2 f* b& |: T* ?" d$ a5 Q• Unemployed or underemployed
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Good moral character
• Good health and physical condition
7 R6 \, X4 V- ?, |/ Q, v% }/ P" X• Good written and verbal communication skills – must be at a CLB 6+
• Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license
( T6 H! J6 @) a) y1 s/ e• No criminal convictions for which a pardon has not been granted
• Eligible for financial assistance, or willing to pay tuition
