- _ g1 _, y/ yCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.9 U3 g* a+ x t. `' H, X/ ~

( K$ U& e, g5 r1 w) k% [• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.$ d$ P' k0 T/ R1 [- d

2 ~" [& S; J* B$ Z2 g4 |• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms. M0 `3 Z: L9 h! a7 T$ c
* J4 A! w, _/ k: M( U! N1 K+ ]• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.7 A# \* {6 m0 V, T; |
/ O h% v; V8 d6 }5 K• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities.2 ^: k1 m) f+ C. T7 y% P2 C
5 t# _: q5 y! B1 L0 C& f• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Perform financial administrative duties as required.

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.8 O& w% f( C( e I0 }, T6 {
2 n/ h! b' y! G" H• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

$ E) O! h) ^; i• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.0 q% w1 F2 ?& N: E$ u

* Z) R" M7 v) r( B. d/ m5 E* x• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions; B0 j5 w( w6 c: N7 t2 k$ g ^% ^' m

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.4 ?; K1 j# Y) q% n3 ]) f

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
