Police arrest two men after complaint of smelly truck carrying 1,500 pot plants

! B4 U7 u# l! fEDMONTON - Two men are facing charges after Edmonton police pulled over a truck filled with freshly cut marijuana plants.

Police say they got a tip Thursday night from a citizen who told them he'd been driving behind a cube van that was giving off a strong odour of marijuana.

% |" z( }7 F6 m [, Q! ~3 I6 WOfficers who responded to the call said they also smelled the pot plants about half a block before they pulled over the van.# ?: ]0 T# g0 P& U0 q: P

Police say there were up to 1,500 mature marijuana plants tied in bundles inside the van.

Roughly 400 kilograms of pot was taken from the vehicle and the driver and a passenger were arrested without incident.- K7 M+ r0 }5 x' R0 Q2 D
