Duties: Special Events 4 Z" D3 D1 u7 `/ A0 l1 m
Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events: ^1 d* B8 a: n P3 W% a' U$ M: U
· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
0 X! X. ?( v) D! e· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist : t- ]" G/ t' b+ X) {3 ?
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
, B& y$ B5 s3 xadvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
! G8 [7 Z9 l; H% f+ ?' t# D4 B9 Xset-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee 3 J& A) `- L+ y( O# Y; H

Duties: Volunteer Coordination
' } \- H. J, z3 ?# D$ }8 j2 r/ [Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
6 Q. C1 A2 U: L2 k8 i1 N# P· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions , C% [% E$ c6 A/ b1 f
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers & z# i3 a, \. v7 M( R( W
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers 9 G8 q7 P, u- H3 w0 `1 r4 {
· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers
, S' Y' T/ m n |5 V5 ]. ]· Complete program administration, statistics and records . E7 |0 \, @2 k" d* p. v

Qualifications: ; `( s7 m: h& |) k
· Completion of 12th, q4 J, O Z9 O/ D8 W( b. P3 g
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
" K5 f( L) s3 K' PAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
5 Q0 B- F2 W9 w· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
, \& u: c' U0 \# f+ L: fexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
2 h: ~( c2 R0 I3 o% I- b) |· Experience working with and managing volunteers
1 Z5 o8 c0 x& r' H· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors
; C% w' a5 ]) F7 ~· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events
% C0 Q& w; u# k0 U· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training L; M) _, \6 @" D
· Security Clearance ( m6 s( H) P$ g; Y
3 E. h/ } q: }" @; S0 GHours: Flexible – some evening and weekend work

Wages: $16 - $20/hour depending on qualifications
