Under the direction of the Program Coordinator and in collaboration with CLSA Special

Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events: ! x! Z# f1 ^( S- G/ g5 K) f5 E7 u' [
· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee 7 ?# I7 m' {6 I
· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist : g+ K/ [5 r$ x/ b
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the 1 ]4 T7 E1 S" F7 ^1 u. \
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure 6 A1 {4 t, [2 N
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. 1 T! r5 F- h; t

· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee # n; z% ]2 x. g

Duties: Volunteer Coordination

· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
: Z" j2 E8 F5 \- r0 Z3 c· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers 8 E* q6 s: P4 {( p
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers - h( f8 }3 a8 Z
· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers

Qualifications:
0 u q. S8 K: |4 l7 G0 S* F/ w· Completion of 12th
; {, P/ E6 y/ \2 l, N9 V+ {2 B) W Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation 7 z; Q! ]% c0 J1 e& i. u; {
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
( t- _1 m+ e& _+ z* A) B+ A· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct

· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors
