Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to:

Duties: Special Events
: }$ g3 u6 o* Z7 v a qPlan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
5 v; p: r: x/ C; R, m· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
# m0 D, ], Q2 ]. |! R5 J· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist " y/ z8 B* G4 h2 h
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the / p# {( I# h3 N3 ]) P
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure 6 q. G' e& G* s8 k0 [: E
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

Duties: Volunteer Coordination
4 G; M! g+ S) V: j' `9 \6 oAssist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
; I/ e- r$ i5 x1 {* a3 {( w. h) E· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions $ M' s: q H3 p( B2 f, \
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
1 [% q, x8 ^6 [0 ?1 ?3 @· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
% g: F2 {8 [3 ]# W W% c6 C ~; I· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers
9 j( c5 V( }+ a. A+ E W· Complete program administration, statistics and records 5 v! ~: a+ f. l& o2 z
( P0 u5 ^5 D1 u3 XQualifications:
- H& M5 @. M+ P· Completion of 12th T; B& }+ p1 [7 N
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
% b9 N8 I- s# C; \/ v, O) {2 v& q8 }Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
% y3 D0 c# E( o· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
2 w) e$ ?1 t: T' E+ x* \% e( f5 Mexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events * L. I4 x# e' r, {' ~/ A) t$ ~
· Experience working with and managing volunteers
/ w3 |3 X: P5 c, w· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors
7 r9 V' I& y/ `: k· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events
7 Z6 Y' H8 k p8 j. U' v4 a7 ~8 s· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training
