0 U/ j4 V( w) K, o3 R; zPosition: Employment Support Worker / Starting Salary Range: $31, 162.00 to $33, 059.00 per annum / Closing Date: position remains open until filled.

& b$ a3 i6 }! _$ d( `Abstract: This position is responsible for providing employment assessment and counselling services + casual-temporary job placement referrals to participants.  Successful candidates must provide a criminal record and child welfare check.

Skills & Qualifications: Agreement with Bissell Centre's mission, goals and values; ability to manage time effectively and to organize tasks in a flexible way; familiarity with the culture of Edmonton's urban core neighbourhoods, understanding of Aboriginal Culture and experience working with individuals in conflict with the law; experience in providing employment services to participants with multiple barriers.

( B7 u- @$ j4 U! T( U) _In addition: knowledge of Alberta's labour market and ability to market Casual Labour service to potential employers; creativity and problem solving skills; some post secondary education in a human services field with a background in employment counselling is an asset.

[* Q0 MPLUS: Alberta Class 5 driver's license and satisfactory driver's abstract an asset; good working knowledge of MS Word/Excel computer programs; must be able to work early morning shift (6:30 AM to 2:30 PM), Wednesdays to 4:00 and Fridays until noon; must have some facilitation experience; equivalent or alternative skills will be considered.
