* Provides technical support and husbandry of the Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometer (TIMS) Laboratory, L/ G8 ^. ^ A6 ^. N
* Performs isotopic analyses on a broad spectrum of chemical elements, including Pb, Os, Nd, Sr+ l7 V' ^8 |6 {& _0 J3 A
* Completes routine maintenance on the TIMS and auxiliary equipment, such as vacuum pumps& f( f0 a' y) u2 W% q5 |* c8 J" F
* Performs data compilation, analysis and data reduction calculations

Qualifications6 U/ g$ b) W" e

* Technical diploma in Physical Sciences, preferably Geological Sciences or equivalent; BSc in Geology or Chemistry is preferred
6 C7 S% E* w' f1 p: o6 [ * Specialized training on thermal ionization mass spectrometers, geochemical analyses, and instrumentation
+ D' H' I8 h9 ]: } * Experience in an established research laboratory with demonstrated knowledge of lab safety regulations and procedures including general lab hygiene and specific safety protocols for thermal ionization mass spectrometers4 O( m/ M. I3 X6 C, B
* WHMIS training
