The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.5 O. j% ]& w8 B$ i% E/ \

• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries! D W- i& ~- r; q1 y( Q2 |
• Arrange courier services for all departments" c) Y% G3 Q8 [7 E! P, O% N
• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers4 ~) o ^0 |9 `! V8 V& L# [# G

• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail7 k/ g' N# X H3 c* t
• Sort and distribute mail and deliveries/ M5 }' I& R f( ^4 b L! V3 k
• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency 4 N$ E0 w" \; Q: ]
• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration

• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution/ n/ h) o5 n8 B% `! q
• Assist Business department with weekly bank deposit and processing payments

• Accept and process registrations for participants or attendees at various special events and staff training

• Assist YoWoChAs Outdoor Education Registration as required$ P4 I( G" f( G" |0 Y' c4 ]9 L

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures8 U% I# Z! B8 v. L% |& E
• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
$ ^7 H, I; H. \& p! y- A3 U! c- h• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset
