Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff. + l0 K3 n% t- Y0 ?- ^! }8 @# R9 D

4 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Staff

. O+ e; q, h |( B) [6 U' oKey Responsibilities Include:
& R& H# D; p. x+ k( y5 ~" o- QActivity Planning and Daily Activity: i+ b$ d7 L Y; o ]( f1 @% D# _/ }
• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.
* p2 b3 K* `1 s• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. / R" f% |) {. Z% V1 ^( s# S5 p
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball,
! S& x+ d8 Z9 f5 m9 [+ I. f• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
1 u% T) k6 w4 z• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
$ n! F, r; P7 ~- J' t8 R+ v) q• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

5 w7 }0 _7 M% L. \4 }. U3 T" P• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting# c, U% U( _/ i- d! w n7 ^$ g
• Experience with children
1 }7 r) k0 `7 I1 U3 n3 u) F6 M7 j• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth + Y4 q. J$ B$ [" i7 x4 T% }/ g
• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.9 n% o# y1 [; y, _
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented./ p1 r `2 [- m. y/ H
• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
7 v, Y' O. ^8 I• Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check % D. F+ ]; S4 D: S5 ~5 m
• Documentation of a clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
