Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

8 m# H( W6 U8 g8 M' d6 u) U8 V4 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Staff
(8 week contract @ 35 hours a week)

Key Responsibilities Include:
/ Y( b2 ]. h/ d" @- RActivity Planning and Daily Activity
4 J6 Q/ s- h3 l& A6 }+ i$ J  r•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
9 \+ m* a' d& ?•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
8 M" ~) B" t6 N•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
& J9 \+ Q4 V7 G! K" o•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

3 E% i: {* `) {& B. u1 K3 TThe successful candidate will have:
•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
# z$ F# s: D* ~9 m- L•        Experience with children
  ], Y$ S) c2 `- w" Z•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
( s4 q( Y0 p/ {. E; e( Z1 x$ ]•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
4 y. Q, Q/ H, V$ @•        Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
•        Documentation of a  clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check

In addition to an excellent work environment, The Africa Centre & Big Brothers Big Sisters offer an hourly salary of $15-hour .
