2 i( V9 I5 X, x6 `! dBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

4 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Staff

Key Responsibilities Include:
( r& Y, d4 }5 x$ U' mActivity Planning and Daily Activity1 M K( S' c+ `: q6 u5 c
• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership., z4 n. w/ o3 z4 J# i% C
• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. ( }, ], M5 d- J# Y* p" K4 e
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball,
1 K. V7 @* \6 B) g4 S) t• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.; O. I3 X7 U; K9 x0 c
• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
; ?2 F+ H+ t% S2 q7 o• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
9 G0 \. m0 _& D' \; N! I• Experience with children
1 x8 i/ f( T) r( [) _3 p& ^• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth 4 m% T9 B4 K1 N3 P) \
• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.9 u- J% G7 _9 T( l
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.! y' b& x" A4 K0 u
• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources! h7 j+ Z; d0 v6 }* F1 j n- N! f
• Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check
3 B( Y8 u% \7 M+ V3 I' n) T! n• Documentation of a clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check 8 {1 n* m& g$ _% @% L# W4 K, M; p3 |
