Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

4 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Staff

Activity Planning and Daily Activity
4 w, B0 E4 s4 I4 o [• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.: o- n( x/ i; i7 P3 u, {" |
• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
: X, y. B: A& D# m4 ?. C• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball, ) }- U+ w; P, q) v" C* S
• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.

• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.1 U% Q% C& Y7 `) T+ ~( m2 n q5 v- T

The successful candidate will have:
% X9 R) l( u/ n• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting, y. c, |7 b. J& Z: ^# H
• Experience with children% H0 R7 r" S+ a- D4 \! k
• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth 6 L; d: ]5 T/ N2 n" H
• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.- {! d7 C0 Z& _% d
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.8 B& T2 t% p5 { U
• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources2 h* Z3 R2 X+ n4 @
• Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check % s* }9 X$ x6 [
• Documentation of a clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check ' l3 l w1 S4 H/ d- n, j

In addition to an excellent work environment, The Africa Centre & Big Brothers Big Sisters offer an hourly salary of $15-hour .
