/ K) }5 a8 F) R) L% H( W m4 _Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students

Key Responsibilities Include
5 C0 i* ]1 ]$ _4 WActivity Planning and Daily Activity5 p# Y3 j2 @. n$ ^! S/ M" Q
• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.
/ I' s, i3 _7 i0 v1 `2 K' ^• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. ; L2 f- T9 x$ D3 |7 s9 _; I( C7 A
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball, $ x8 K1 v: U3 z1 ?5 i
• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
Q3 v6 I, }' g0 q8 W' k+ d: h4 n• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
- m, c- l' A; u4 S• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.2 m/ m* e6 o2 z, M

The successful candidate will have:% y# @2 W+ r7 M, a/ \
• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting- [2 o; X8 C" S0 b' r5 Y1 V& H& M
• Experience with children
9 u; P( z$ _7 ~• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
" I1 N% U+ {; K• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
( \& f* l0 j2 ?6 _6 M4 W9 v• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.

• A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check 2 |4 Z7 e. e& c E7 ]
