When I write a report, some project were postponed/delayed? what is the different?

They certainly have similar meanings, but they are not interchangeable in many cases.

2 N8 V. e7 j* l% BIf something will be pushed back in time by a few hours, it's delayed. For example, weather can delay the departure of a plane.

- ^1 D- }& a. C  L; A8 @9 ~When something is pushed back to a specific date, days or even weeks later, it's postponed. A business meeting might be postponed because one of the key people got called out of town.

On the other hand, something like a product that is supposed to be released can be "delayed" (not postponed) for months.

感觉是从上级那里来DELAY，都是POSTPONE，下级那里来的就成了DELAY了。因为有人可以BLAME了。哈哈。。。
