听说互联网上可以查到一种通过遥控器给DVD机解除区域限制码的方法，这样我们在北美买的DVD机就可以成为全球制式的通用机了。

方法是有，但和DVD机的品牌有关。你买的是哪一款？

顺便说一句，Philips DVP 642不错。除了DVD，还可以放DIVX和XVID格式的影片。

据说Sony DVP NS-400D是最难hack的一种。不过我找到了一个办法。先声明：我不确定这个办法是否有效。我也不能为这个办法导致的一切后果负责。你必须自己决定是否尝试这个办法，并自负其责。

方法如下：
This Hack Works on the dvp-ns400d
the all in one remote is the kameleon all in one fron argos （平常注：我不知道这是什么东西，也许是Sony的一种all in one remote吧。）
worked first time
tried all region disks and they all worked

1)Put SONY DVD player in standby mode with red light on
2)Type DVD Key on the One for all remote
3)Type and hold Magic Key until two blinks then type 994
4)type Magic key
5)Then type 189 and 1 on the remote (to assign function 189 to the "1" Key)you see two blinks
6)repeat steps 3 and 4
7)Then type 255 and 2 on the remote (to assign function 255 to the "2" Key)you see two blinks
8)repeat steps 3 and 4
9)Then type 095 and 3 on the remote (to assign function 095 to the "3" Key)you see two blinks
10)repeat steps 3 and 4
11)Then type 221 and 4 on the remote (to assign function 221 to the "4" Key)you see two blinks
12)repeat steps 3 and 4
13)Then type 079 and 5 on the remote (to assign function 079 to the "5" Key) you see two blinks
NOW COMES THE FUN PART
Your plauer in standby mode use the One for all remote
Type keys 1 2 3 4 5 in sequence
Player displays SUCCESS in the blue display and the player comes on
Type keys 1 2 3 4 5 in sequence and the player goes off.
Unplug the AC power for 5 seconds
Now your player is region free.
