FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 5 B) @, B" v* c) ]
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video : r- G, }9 h4 [! G7 c6 P4 H
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 9 f7 l2 z- |8 n. @0 w y7 z( s
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
; C( Z: Q& ?- N" j4 bscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the : q5 P( U& E5 X- _' u; `+ v/ I- f2 P
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 5 w0 }7 C) K6 a# }8 ^0 Q5 }9 s
well as the script, magazine and book library.

# _, u2 F: F( T" G) C* H# |: l! S5 q- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
: z$ [7 Z7 h! L$ N' _( ]- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
. f8 W1 v5 t& M8 ^2 }; B# b5 V0 Q- Implement a catalogue template for future use / U Z) ]2 y, W; [1 \3 i
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 7 E- G7 z2 N8 m5 [+ Q! n0 c
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: 0 Z9 @- w& ~* u+ W
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts 8 ?9 {" @; ] n' R6 Z. r
- Strong organizational skills
3 y! K4 @* x3 ?7 L/ A2 l* k- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Strong team player abilities
