FAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization 1 c/ Y: n0 X7 G3 n. R8 p

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive 6 ~' N) P1 {& D/ `
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by / K1 q- x) F6 V+ C1 s! E3 Q
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. 4 o$ s, Y I1 ?! d$ c- F3 J* u, f2 K
0 G0 A/ P; O4 F, i' u6 n
Duties: 5 L0 W8 z: {7 K4 B2 q0 D
- Assist with research on acquisition grants % ?2 [. u+ D: Y+ K
- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
( _' T: E9 r+ T! j: ?- Assist with equipment maintenance 4 k1 y) U) i6 Y3 T( T- `
- Assist with production logistics for programming events
d5 U/ I5 [: }- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff 1 u( ]0 P7 C4 S+ ?" F+ D3 X, S
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable , ~0 R6 L! A, J+ i8 @" U! E( k: a
- Provide vacation relief 7 ?' Q& ^& i* d7 _

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts 7 @5 f/ w9 I1 C' i
- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment
' t: \ K; |8 n6 Y# C) @3 d( A- Advance organizational and research skills
9 p2 R# }6 k/ l$ ] _- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
