Has the following summer position available: June 1 – August 16, 2005 (40 hours per week)

Housing Program Worker
; Z/ q5 n( A7 x# z
Key Responsibilities:
; @' W7 K+ X6 }- I  P To plan, organize and implement residential and housing support programs for adults and families who access the YMCA’s Transitional Housing Program.
 To assist residents to register for on-site housing and support programs
 To help promote the program in the community.
 To provide some evening and weekend program supports.
% i, A' J' F4 H7 ~  N- d+ Y  o To supervise volunteers assigned to the program.
 To document assigned activities and prepare reports as necessary.
  p7 t* P- ^0 K5 t2 I9 d To operate within the approved budget and follow all YMCA Policies and Procedures.
7 y) R& Z7 g3 y( D To contribute as a member of our staff team in the operation of the Transitional Housing Program.

( D% Q/ j# `# d9 S$ y6 SQualifications:  (Applicants must meet all qualifications to apply)
2 ?" D/ e% o3 _2 g. D4 q 2 years education as a post secondary student in Human Services or Social Work
4 W- }8 Q7 {; B! [5 c Experience in human services, social housing and/or work with high needs populations.
 Well developed communication and interpersonal skills.
) ^8 L. ?7 L) S- f Current CPR and First Aid certifications
 Completed, current & cleared Child Welfare Check & Police Security Clearance
