Responsibilities:
- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
5 H8 Q$ h  M3 k3 K- Recruit children for summer program
0 [6 ~: I; f6 S! L, Y: l4 H" H- Provide orientation for parents
% t! V3 p: d% @$ m- Find sponsors to enhance program
& U% H* D+ P  _# ?% u' }- Supervise volunteer(s)
/ D# J, {% @# f( z4 |; F. J- Prepare final report for funding agency

8 `8 Q# K6 S8 S  h+ H) I& BQualifications:
% d" M7 O0 \( t- ]$ A3 @
- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
  Y6 {: O9 O$ {$ ]7 ]- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
/ Z: t8 l6 {% P; g, N; c- communication skills
3 Q' X/ ?+ B: L7 C- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
- good computer skills
. k9 X4 \% T6 B" q- leadership abilities
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
