Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

4 r! R7 D+ d6 D5 H- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
6 g7 q0 B8 k# x! V, ~; z provide services for Chinese community; I/ u- o# N: t! }: n
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
) P0 U- C, Q0 ?" x* w, a8 C) t access to mainstream services9 G8 Z* A: Q) d3 R; ?' R
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
}3 k( V3 L7 k# p5 l' G social services, @6 h& r* ` f2 ]' e8 P
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies4 b# {5 g; [" Y9 ~, J
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
4 ^* r) X9 k0 G# ?1 v- update ASSIST website
" N: h' K" K3 ]- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre0 W9 a9 N4 ?1 A, v9 ~5 L2 o
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
# T6 a: ~+ Y' n6 F2 P2 g" D- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time- h! A: w8 S& Z- O+ T
- update membership database

Qualifications4 B' l( T3 ~3 h+ X1 t; W8 D. C) a: @
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
4 C; N. e) T3 g8 v3 I9 I; ?9 \ experience and education
" H; ]# j3 ]+ L5 a4 ]3 j% ~- good oral and written Chinese and English skills9 k" s# q# K( e, U* Q
- experience in community work and immigrant services
3 [: t+ p& I0 a! r- experience in website update/design
' N o5 g3 o. |6 A- C- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
