Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2009

- Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the
9 X B" R' C) B1 ~ preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
' E1 C5 Z( @) o7 E" [1 M' G- Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program5 b$ [7 f8 p! X2 Q% A
- Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies5 ~: T9 W, z. J! i5 R! l1 m# r
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program

. ~' I& }3 C# W4 R! s" p2 X- Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

! O$ {. r* r( V- G9 W k$ T6 u$ R- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood
* o0 ~) }: k) F: S Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education2 Z' x6 P' m" a1 e
- Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children- ?' I" g6 [, H+ F5 w/ z" o& @- v
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
1 b" w; i5 R7 K$ ^; s3 d- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities' i6 J& H, g$ l N# i' S* b5 [7 i* m
- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese1 r8 k2 H3 s8 }; J% A& Q5 w' V
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities5 \9 I6 f! a; ~5 r
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision8 \ y- U2 ~7 o5 I! A: N

- Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June (planning) ! b( o* g1 ]$ `
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)3 G! N& M+ [8 |3 D0 {
- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 20097 Z" ~/ J0 g/ }% P' b+ q

- $14.00 per hour
