Duties

1 T4 O4 h/ c% C2 g0 k5 i/ E) E    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
4 ~/ c+ d! [, z9 Y; k. w7 \    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
0 I# G2 `5 @/ I/ Z) S5 e! A    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
, y2 J5 J+ j' ^+ ]2 m+ @$ D. G    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
& z0 @1 B: S0 N  A    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

Qualifications

    * Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred
4 ?$ Y$ A& d* \2 `/ {! j    * Minimum of one year of related experience in some aspect of analytical mass spectrometry is required

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

6 q# l2 o9 K" c) j就是怕市道不好，UA 把價錢壓低了。
本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。

  n/ T6 j- j: F, I7 Q+ t; c( u& n
/ j/ n- x2 F- f' i  v+ ~好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

& M& s4 y9 q5 \Samples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
wage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.
