6 V: E' p c7 H; d# {Responsibilities - Human Resources Management: supervise a qualified counselling team/oversee their peer supervision system; manage hiring, training & supervision of department staff, volunteers & student interns; provide training opportunities to department staff; supervise/evaluation department staff.0 {0 s3 J/ F/ ~6 H

PLUS: ensure adequate levels of staffing are maintained, in order to meet requirements for delivery of services; conduct regular staff meetings; ensure proper flow and documentation of information; ensure Human Resources Policies & Procedures are met and followed.5 O1 v4 t0 \' v' u* _
& l$ l6 M' D# j+ j% v) [4 o2 a% ^Responsibilities - Finance & Administration: develop and implement annual goals and program objectives; monitor annual department budgets; review monthly financial statement and account for variances; prepare annual applications and budget proposals for funders in collaboration with the Fund Development Manager; ensure program standards and procedures reflect the YWCA's and funders' requirements.( T, a2 S" j0 N8 Z6 b' `7 D! [9 V

PLUS: submit monthly, semi-annual/annual reports to funders, as required; ensure proper & complete documentation is maintained for all clients, staff and program files; prepare a monthly departmental report for the E.D.; generate and manage a feedback system/databases to obtain data on client service.3 R5 c, O2 Z% ?* \

Community Relations and Advocacy: create and maintain strategic partnerships with stakeholders; promote the Counselling Centre's programs and services.

7 o/ Z1 c: v/ C; ?0 oQualifications: at least 5 years successful experience at a senior management level with a nonprofit agency; post-secondary education in Psychology or a related field; extensive knowledge of the counselling process; must have a working knowledge of the legal issues involved in counselling, especially those relating to the area of family violence. , \* X r/ N& f
$ n& S6 [* X- W0 }In addition: excellent communication and interpersonal skills; experienced in budgeting, program delivery, and supervising staff; ability to interact in a positive manner with a diverse population; experience and proficiency in MS Office; equivalences will be considered.
