As a Business Analyst, you will analyze business requirements, conduct impact analyses, and perform design, development, support and documentation activities in a dynamic and multi-application environment. Working under a Team Lead, you will help to develop a long term plan to replace our client's legacy applications. ( r! U8 ?, C0 I; Y$ g" L3 N
As part of this endeavour, you will be responsible for performing the following type of activities:
& G. x' j# b0 ?+ N: t y& t+ p: qConvert business requirements into design specifications and prepare specifications for user sign-off. # @' P* L5 k% N( T. E% I- _8 ]
Create process and data models to visually represent requirements information.
0 g' F( W5 m' K3 {" FPerform system testing with internal and external clients. Provide support during various phases of testing.
( m5 X5 ^4 ~" ?& C7 sAssist with the resolution of code deficiencies found during the assembly test and system test phase. ' a4 f9 B# n0 q' g
Support, maintain and upgrade application after it moves into production. + \/ ?+ I% K3 w' Z! D
Analyze current technical and business objectives, plans, processes, information flows, and systems. + F* j& N6 z5 ]; ~; [+ ~
Assist in the identification, assessment and resolution of application problems and recommend modifications.
, A5 J a/ @9 L7 j4 YSummarize and present key findings with recommendations for improvement. 1 A9 |+ U" z, _( @+ |/ O
Responsible for working with Project manager to set and review overall quality of deliverables.
) r/ b6 A+ f& ? Minimum of 2 years of experience in application development, experience with legacy applications would be an asset
$ b# W+ n& A5 L* u& R. Q( K• A university degree in Computer Science, Commerce (MIS), or similar discipline is preferred, but an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
% E* K6 L' B; {• Experience with Web Applications, VB.net, C# and/or .NET technologies an asset./ o% \2 T' S5 S2 c7 d3 B. X
• Understanding of Object Oriented design principles and the .Net Framework.
& F6 P" N$ q8 ^( G2 V• Exceptional consultation skills are critical, with the ability to convey technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences and contribute within a team environment.% _; j( |& m, E/ p( n/ P- K/ d
