Payment and collection of health care premiums owed prior to January 1, 2009 will continue under these guidelines:

1. All Albertans are responsible to pay premiums unless they qualify for premium assistance, government-sponsored income support programs, or are senior citizens.8 G6 S* S ^- S1 M: V
2. Employers and benefit administrators who register and pay premiums on behalf of their employees will continue to do so.
