Job Description

7 q. C% f5 X4 u3 BFull time position (35 hours each week)

, h  O3 ^" P' v! ^. AJob Description – Responsibilities
6 h( |6 w& H) Y8 ]) I; O: s8 O•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
+ X) E4 \5 r, k; x2 Y•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
, f: Z' i( J" ~0 G0 ^7 E•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
8 `& |/ {0 b# p' R3 a8 n7 g& p, k•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
# }2 @5 {- u% \' ]. g$ p•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
1 t) V+ \( o7 f* ~6 P•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

Qualifications
•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
