Full time position (35 hours each week)

Job Description – Responsibilities
' o! M! U0 w+ \7 u8 K& V•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
' g. s/ |2 R6 B6 |0 p3 c•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
2 P( I, B1 K+ }6 N( _1 n•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
: z# n6 z+ T% \; J& p* D, `•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
9 r3 g+ N8 L: M; Z) F7 h2 Q9 Z  b' F•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
  m. s) y1 j" y/ }•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
+ _8 O. }7 [7 L% d) V4 S( {+ {6 A•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
  X" ~" ]! y3 T0 o4 n•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
6 Q5 V3 o9 T% m) q% p2 I•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

Qualifications
•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
/ z; X. j2 f, t( l5 g•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
( o+ n$ ^: L5 H2 u8 o' \# X•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
