虽然埃德蒙顿的房价有所冷却，但是Edmonton Social Planning Council的一篇调查报告却显示房屋租金仍在上涨。
这份报告在4-5月份调查了埃德蒙顿727个租户。
虽然出租房空置率有时上升，但是58%的租户反应他们今年的租房形势不如去年。
5 |6 w+ W/ M8 R5 m, {他们反应不能负担住房和其它基本需要。 房屋形势不稳定，他们付出的不是物有所值。80%的受访者称他们今年的租金比去年有增长，平均增长每月$195。
尤其是2007年的租金在$500以下的，增长幅度最大，达60%。 2007年租金在每月$1000的有18%的增长。
$ Z/ @5 O; y, H这反映了埃德蒙顿还没有足够的廉租房。
9 A$ I) e+ U/ S这份报告将交给阿尔伯特省住房和城市发展事务厅厅长Yvonne Fritz。

Suggest the city can build more townhouses at the surrounding area of Edmonton. Maybe the mayor should pay more visiting to the Asia countries, especially like Singapore and Hong kong see how they build the cheap townnhouses for the low income people. If the city can do it, most of the rental fee will be going down.
