1 man dead in stabbing
; z, L. R* X' m4 V0 u, q8 xMeanwhile, one male is dead and another is in police custody after an altercation between two groups in an alley early Sunday morning, according to an EPS press release.

" C, x: ^, {8 O2 S! LAt approximately 2:45 a.m. MT, officers spotted a vehicle being driven the wrong way on Gateway Boulevard near Whyte Avenue.
( o! k: v' p# W5 F! K" u3 w# ^( T* R ]9 w: G% }* {: s! h+ q! t
Upon stopping the car, the officers learned that one of the passengers, a 24-year-old male, was seriously injured./ f# \& K( y) v# v" L/ T8 J: x
4 k2 {" g1 ?$ y0 q0 X% \: ZHe was taken to hospital, where he died of his injuries.% p/ [+ O/ {* l, r
: h( ?- y0 p* }) {3 `" K$ N1 \A police investigation revealed that the three male occupants of the vehicle had been involved in a physical altercation with two other males and a female near an alley south of Whyte Avenue, between Gateway Boulevard and Calgary Trail, which resulted in one male being stabbed.

The three suspects were located by police immediately following the vehicle stop. A 32-year-old male is in custody and charges are pending.
