* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program) r/ F: t$ u- q% L$ Q
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
' K$ s( k4 Z3 f: B& ^" z8 d * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
7 P5 Q; `5 \0 c) C, C% q# V/ f * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat+ k8 S2 t$ a$ Y8 n! c; n. L) \
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
; |3 {; }0 n& c+ l5 ~4 s1 G2 ? * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
f# g9 L- Z. P/ z * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
( b. y- Z4 f+ x2 e * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
4 T1 K* g4 Y( e5 W6 V# q * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred9 G3 F0 s e5 p/ W
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth I) b; y# n" H$ L2 P3 J4 X0 L
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
6 T. n0 i6 s8 | * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies) J& K) [' g8 }4 [; O1 O2 t% ]
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
& C. o4 \/ [' m8 b/ W: g# J# l * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning

* Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills
