* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program1 Q+ t& a& ]6 e/ O3 X6 r
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
1 @3 q$ y( z% @ * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
4 a0 a/ B- F1 `4 o; v: i4 H! |2 C * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
( n' Y' q$ H( W; G# B3 @ * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
$ V: }2 V" o2 {* E9 N( r, m5 ? * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
" l3 N. m. N# H& q# O" H( T * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs/ w1 w2 M% t) }% P; K: U; h& X
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
( ^! R4 Z4 @( s) p2 m6 j * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning, f2 Q' O* y; z: B
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials

* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies6 w* |, \ e+ {4 l

, U6 H H# p7 B- x( i- } * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred+ H% F6 r$ {4 N- c d6 ]
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
/ r" j( d A' T8 S * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
* t; Y+ ^) a. _, j" a * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
$ p- u# C5 o! Y+ Q * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills E. z. @! ~' |2 Y7 A2 u9 v) E
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning0 ?+ j; c8 i9 z w4 h9 Z# P! [7 V F* J
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)' r& M( L$ J: w- P
* Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills
