Position Abstract: as a community organizer you will be responsible for providing training to residents of an inner city community who are actively involved in creating strategies for a healthier neighbourhood. Working towards ensuring wide participation by residents/organizations in the local community you will assist in reinforcing inclusivity.

, e3 n0 j' t8 h3 }4 ?PLUS: a capable advocate for alternative dispute resolution, you will liaise between the community and elected officials/municipal administration, assisting in the development of a strong working relationship between these groups. 6 l: V3 u5 s% B- i
4 d' `; e& z/ A$ z3 R& QEducation & Experience: the position calls for an individual with education in the humanities or related field + 2 years experience in the field of community organizing. Special interest in ecological literacy and sustainable communities will be an asset.

t( s/ G, W" Y* DOther Skills: the successful candidate will have a strong background in building group capacity & seeing projects through to completion. There is a significant element of research and an opportunity for creativity in assisting residents to address community challenges.
