I do not think Firefox is faster than IE. There are more viruses to IE just because it's more popular and Firefox is pretty new. If FireFox occupies 80% of the market, who knows what will happen. It's nothing about ActiveX technology. There is nothing that is bulletproof.' x; r7 O g7 b( E# y6 M% \

So just choose based on your own needs.
For whatever reason, Firefox should be safer, I am not saying faster though. But spyware/adware can make your computor very slow. Check you folder:6 {5 d2 P" j6 a4 i

All of them are just cookies. If you do not like the activeX, in XP, you can just disable it in the IE configuration., z' X" M# J6 _2 A; U" W- l3 g

I am using Mozilla in my Linux and IE in my XP. Besides the muti-tab feature, they are almost the same.
