I do not think Firefox is faster than IE. There are more viruses to IE just because it's more popular and Firefox is pretty new. If FireFox occupies 80% of the market, who knows what will happen. It's nothing about ActiveX technology. There is nothing that is bulletproof.& ^+ B* b$ z/ o+ a

For whatever reason, Firefox should be safer, I am not saying faster though. But spyware/adware can make your computor very slow. Check you folder: ? \0 ^& a; s

All of them are just cookies. If you do not like the activeX, in XP, you can just disable it in the IE configuration. ! g4 h" M {$ ~3 l+ E! M' _) h& c; N9 F9 ~6 v1 v% j3 N
I am using Mozilla in my Linux and IE in my XP. Besides the muti-tab feature, they are almost the same.
