I do not think Firefox is faster than IE. There are more viruses to IE just because it's more popular and Firefox is pretty new. If FireFox occupies 80% of the market, who knows what will happen. So just choose based on your own needs.
For whatever reason, Firefox should be safer, I am not saying faster though. But spyware/adware can make your computor very slow. Check you folder:+ M" i. P% J' N! s& d7 c

If you do not like the activeX, in XP, you can just disable it in the IE configuration. 1 [7 R+ r& T; f+ [* N( R4 N ( L v" G" h" \. O0 |I am using Mozilla in my Linux and IE in my XP. Besides the muti-tab feature, they are almost the same.

不管什么原因，只要安全就好。。。你说得对，用得多的软件，漏洞多。但是，如果Ｆｉｒｅｆｏｘ相对安全（或者说黑客琢磨得少），何尝不是它的一个长处？
