I do not think Firefox is faster than IE. There are more viruses to IE just because it's more popular and Firefox is pretty new. If FireFox occupies 80% of the market, who knows what will happen. It's nothing about ActiveX technology. There is nothing that is bulletproof. 0 O9 _( x8 t* Q2 V: y% u B , E9 f7 E' f" k1 _* ~So just choose based on your own needs.
For whatever reason, Firefox should be safer, I am not saying faster though. But spyware/adware can make your computor very slow. Check you folder: 7 i# H* D7 c# U! e; z7 G; J3 m 5 m: ~' C/ f6 B8 O4 Z! a% UDocuments and Setting\(your user name)\cookie or folder system32 to see what kind of adware\sypware already in your system 4 |. z! All of them are just cookies. If you do not like the activeX, in XP, you can just disable it in the IE configuration. & G9 G( ^% r$ H* y# f9 f7 `" p6 B* C3 F1 x
I am using Mozilla in my Linux and IE in my XP. Besides the muti-tab feature, they are almost the same.
