When we were called the Sick Man of Asia, we were the Yellow Peril.
+ O$ @% A' a/ A: a) k1 U3 VWhen we are billed to be the next Superpower, we are a threat.
) w- B. a+ s4 F; P5 ^% `0 d
0 j) p- q* [$ w/ J& W9 i+ ]# BWhen we closed our doors, you smuggled drugs to our markets.
, C$ R6 `, @% n$ dWhen we embraced Free Trade, you blame us for taking away your jobs.

When we were falling apart, you marched in your troops and wanted your “fair share”.
: x8 Q/ M- H& D$ i# P; Z$ YWhen we were putting the broken pieces together again, “Free Tibet” you scream, “it was an invasion!”

# ?/ M0 J" B4 n/ LSo, we tried communism, you hated us for being communists
& l* ?7 p2 v6 v; Y9 G3 e: G4 |9 kWhen we embraced capitalism, you hate us for being capitalists.

& u: W5 h6 b$ c# [* O7 wWhen we have a billion people, you said we were destroying the planet.
' b8 H) B/ R3 Q& hWhen we tried limiting our numbers, you said it is human rights abuse.

' I$ t/ A$ r$ p! Q3 e) o- i: w+ S2 cWhen we were poor, you thought we were dogs.
# W: `, |1 n3 |. h" RWhen we loan you cash, you blame us for your debts.

% D+ ?" Q- x; P" [0 n& tWhen we build our industries, you called us polluters.
When we sell you goods, you blame us for global warming.

When we buy oil, you call that exploitation and genocide.
& k4 G, R# C/ o; ~: l2 EWhen you fight for oil, you call that liberation and democracy.

When we were lost in chaos and rampage, you wanted rule of law for us.
8 v5 K$ g8 j0 A, XWhen we uphold law and order against violence, you call that violating human rights.

0 d$ G6 w7 W" }# x8 n' P& \4 L- SWhen we were silent, you said you want us to have free speech.
. x: D5 X; M: b8 j& nWhen we were silent no more, you say we are brainwashed racists.

Why do you hate us so much? We asked.
“No,” you answered, “We don’t hate You.”

We don’t hate you either,

“Of course we do,” You said,
“We have NBC, CNN and BBCs…”

What do you really want from us?
Think hard first, then answer…

Because you only get so many chances,
4 V% e; T& x2 P* LEnough is enough, enough Hypocrisy for this one world.

% O8 G3 \, ~& i: x8 U7 ZWe want one world, one dream, and peace on Earth.
' ~" A2 H" f1 N6 cThis big blue Earth is big enough for all of Us.
