Works within the Network Team to plan, implement, and maintain network services for the University Libraries, supporting the computing requirements of approximately 300 library staff and a wide range of electronic services offered to library clientele" h0 N3 R, l7 T& W& d3 ^
Responsible for specialization in workstation image management/ s/ s5 z) r5 A' A' w
Responsible for system administration of assigned Windows 2000 servers$ B* g D6 n1 ?. o
Provides help desk and on-call (after hours) support
# B. {- r2 O7 p- m# n9 u' S$ |Works within the Web Team to implement and support web-based applications to provide access to library resources and services and web-based productivity applications for staff6 n p" U: ~+ D7 X- L
Edits and troubleshoots web content using Content Management System k$ g1 a& i5 z( u
Develops programming using Cold Fusion and PHP
) F' J d+ @$ H# b$ J+ lDevelops user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript and CSS
6 x9 ]& a: k* u0 [" e" q% N6 z/ sDesigns, develops and implements MySQL relational databases

{$ C6 a; E9 l4 z; tTwo year post-secondary diploma in a technology support program
* X9 u/ ^6 d) L' Q; `Recent completion of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
! ]2 P* d \$ e# r3 [2 f2 ]* gMinimum three years experience working in a technology support group for a large corporate network with hands-on experience managing Windows 2000 servers and client workstations% e/ n; k: q$ E
Experience implementing and supporting interactive web-based applications using web programming languages and middleware applications (including Cold Fusion, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and MySQL)+ |) }2 m+ K5 g1 k2 e7 Q R
