Works within the Network Team to plan, implement, and maintain network services for the University Libraries, supporting the computing requirements of approximately 300 library staff and a wide range of electronic services offered to library clientele% f8 V6 j+ i+ v+ i& W- P
Responsible for specialization in workstation image management
1 k# w9 d0 {+ n3 }Responsible for system administration of assigned Windows 2000 servers( o' \ s( M5 I7 ?" w' C
Provides help desk and on-call (after hours) support" K1 u6 [: x1 ` Y$ Q9 {: l6 @
Works within the Web Team to implement and support web-based applications to provide access to library resources and services and web-based productivity applications for staff# H2 H/ j' F9 r5 g( l; V$ J
Edits and troubleshoots web content using Content Management System- @: [8 o5 U0 X' Y) d
Develops programming using Cold Fusion and PHP1 O6 t- `/ h; B
Develops user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript and CSS; H8 ~* \ Q5 ?; {3 H5 t
Designs, develops and implements MySQL relational databases' @- u* G O1 I1 ?: U, g% u
Qualifications
8 ]$ b x: r/ p# vTwo year post-secondary diploma in a technology support program9 |! ~; g# Y [4 T p
Recent completion of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
. X0 f8 l0 @7 i+ h- z. d$ NMinimum three years experience working in a technology support group for a large corporate network with hands-on experience managing Windows 2000 servers and client workstations
' O( m6 k& a6 o0 k; @+ G, x* nExperience implementing and supporting interactive web-based applications using web programming languages and middleware applications (including Cold Fusion, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and MySQL)& n! p- l3 g: t. v: R6 f; `
Strong analytical, diagnostic, written and oral communication skills& A# S7 u) R) k! [* L5 P
