我知道No pay, no gain!没有付出就没有回报!
但是付出了一定会有回报吗?当然,每个人都希望付出后会有好的回报?

I guess western philosophy, mainly originated from Christianity, does not emphasize return, on the contary, they encourage people to trust god and do not hope for returns. This is one reason why there are so many people who volunteer and do good deeds and never ask for return.
