- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
) i$ F% v8 F. b/ D9 [% A# z- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
d9 c8 f3 n* w/ [1 @$ y2 S& ^- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team" `4 e$ @# I& Q, L

- post secondary diploma
2 p. M% |* D' @' a" Z5 y0 _2 P- customer service and office clerical experiences

Job Description
& B' Z5 \ m5 p7 a- P- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community- M$ T) W0 f9 ^2 p% d: T' }
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services) V- \: L2 T3 M2 t2 t" T: l
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
) ]- @; J5 ^4 I1 @1 e6 E- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
8 Q6 `- j5 V: K% R6 ?) a- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members8 b0 n- ~* G$ X: j. w i
- update ASSIST website3 N/ ^' z* D* n. |1 ^+ P- C
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
4 B7 Z: S; X; }8 }, X7 ?. i- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services2 B) |: H* z* F# F8 x z! e- p
- assist in writing proposal for ISP
/ N5 O% u2 q& g/ A% U3 H7 d4 O5 ?- write quarterly and final reports for ISP7 |5 Y- _: @' x6 [
- hold regular meetings with ISP team
& z9 C$ S$ @# s* u- H5 b- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time0 w- n6 J3 a L
- update membership database

Qualifications
" v# E6 ]% ]1 ?; l9 f- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
: S$ @& G; B V% D: o! o2 Y- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
! G! J0 l9 R% F6 O4 S' O- experience in community work and immigrant services2 M4 m7 n! a) _! m+ |- Y1 B
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
