Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker

- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

Position title: Community Development Worker

7 L, P: j5 X3 b+ w! r2 @- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community( l+ O9 {, S0 Z
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
* H, E0 d5 m; l1 e( z; s7 ^- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services! i& B, x* r3 P7 ]& I' D# q
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
& r7 R% N. M5 S: n8 o0 r- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
9 Z& y* W' _ w& ?# h3 M4 h2 }- update ASSIST website
! A4 `, T: P* l) i F- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre1 i# N. d0 F+ Y9 ]/ ]& {9 G& w
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services( c: t. C# s" F U; b- C+ b5 D& O
- assist in writing proposal for ISP
5 ^- F4 m) Y1 A8 n- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
% Z3 S& P) a( E3 L7 W" c- hold regular meetings with ISP team/ \ G: a" _" ?, l
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time& }. q4 H. h! f+ S& n- A
- update membership database

% f* U2 T4 N0 w% L; ^- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education - \1 P- F! d; y( m, e
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills6 |" ^7 p1 s2 X) [7 V6 W
- experience in community work and immigrant services
