- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.

- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

- post secondary diploma

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community; S; M/ ~0 T: U" Y0 V% N
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services8 G) d, E8 J: F4 D6 g& M
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
- E- o. K) s% N1 w2 t/ W" t& a- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies4 l8 G+ q( r6 M/ q* q! f- W! A; c
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
! i3 W2 q1 v, W" [; m8 ~- update ASSIST website
5 K9 ^% W. U' \$ C$ H Y+ ?- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre& Q8 C0 D: t- p2 `8 C2 E5 H8 A
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
$ @" n) M7 o( z9 w9 D3 l- assist in writing proposal for ISP
" j% J/ ~/ {: c9 Z4 R, I- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
' p4 W: F* D7 B S- hold regular meetings with ISP team' Y9 m1 k' ]2 R% k
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

Qualifications _9 |( L+ H+ q2 f% `
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
1 ]8 ^0 w0 t+ C& }: \0 L7 o- good oral and written Chinese and English skills/ L& R0 X5 N: Q; s+ v
- experience in community work and immigrant services% g% A; O/ Z; G1 D9 i& |7 a# v
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
