Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Job Description
4 p8 D+ Y9 f' E% l- I- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.$ \+ B; S6 I% L
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
, s0 n0 r" Z" M u- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community! ?* X9 ]& T. a% L5 I, L
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services7 O# D/ H7 t9 d* h) R
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services' K$ k" S) Y2 H, X& s6 l
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
9 }1 H2 ~- g* ]+ t. s5 r- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members3 T9 W4 H1 _$ k* a# R* `
- update ASSIST website
! j3 m0 x" Q0 d* J- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre- s6 u* u; H$ ]9 K8 i
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
) J! v& ~: u1 F) K- assist in writing proposal for ISP9 z1 t2 B, t, w" {, \% U
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP0 _+ u# b: m8 T6 P" m
- hold regular meetings with ISP team
8 r; W; R& l: R) X% F* b9 ]: i6 N- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
' s4 p6 r6 g+ j8 L8 x- update membership database8 t/ a% x2 i& @+ o! h# U4 i+ n- M
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

: J9 E/ u- y% ?- SQualifications
0 c" P# t3 x7 b% ^' M; D- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
3 v$ n5 S1 ~8 [/ N6 W- p0 X- good oral and written Chinese and English skills* d2 H* S7 W# B# i
- experience in community work and immigrant services
