Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker

- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.1 x2 H, k. L7 n. ` ~
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker4 J7 Z4 W2 l# s8 d3 m
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

- post secondary diploma % a& `% ^9 ~' m& L
- customer service and office clerical experiences# z6 E5 Z- ?& u, c

Job Description
9 G" X% s, L- m$ |' W4 r7 f- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
8 V0 ]. z' K( K+ D. w/ g7 ]4 e) E- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
$ f1 b, J/ T0 | v5 T" \5 {+ t- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
( k+ L/ T( d* m) l+ w! [1 i1 d- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
+ s3 d- m2 a8 i0 t- B- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members; V/ w' ?0 k" Q6 x7 b
- update ASSIST website6 B9 r% u) I* y9 G+ F4 f
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre) w, ~* e, d$ T6 g8 H# l5 L# S) [1 s
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services, o" ?0 a) M5 z- F& Q
- assist in writing proposal for ISP
& J: b! u/ R3 U5 t" H. c, ]- write quarterly and final reports for ISP1 q8 c& G; x# n" j" X- @+ }# o: m: P/ @
- hold regular meetings with ISP team
$ j1 {7 m& L; Q: K5 D- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

Qualifications
5 l q3 q) i4 o D" `' Q: T, Z- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education # \/ E' n# W/ s) H
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
5 E: L+ E/ v4 _" C) `6 [- experience in community work and immigrant services
4 c+ H8 a/ \6 E$ M* u5 e1 l- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
