Description:
" `4 B7 b# G; _* G, |; D$ y3 ~This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for# P) V& V+ q+ n4 b ]
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

3 b6 O5 p5 C# w3 Z) W" N, aTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
5 ^& ]$ f" z: O; n" o& i0 l D# _of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different+ V+ h/ \- H0 `$ a) h
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.# h( L4 H) d, U8 d! ?/ Q
$ C# o- G$ m6 Y+ }4 H7 g& z8 NCertified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
