ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
$ }+ P) |/ \1 Q) ~University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
3 w' C, J* A$ k: X* ^/ Q1 Jtechnology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
' }3 y+ w) J! \to apply for government funding with us.

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
1 C' L9 m/ }: {; u& Y! E& j4 x) ifrom bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
8 \, k" N# h& ^+ r2 Jcloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
8 g* w, t/ e% W2 F( _over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
3 G5 w0 S  E+ d$ athe ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
accurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external

salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
