As the Corporate Financial Co-ordinator within the Corporate Accounting and Reporting office of the Finance Branch, you will lead the year-end reporting functions within the City as well as the operating fund corporate accounting, and guide the development of related policy, procedures, and strategies. · Coordinating the completion of the annual consolidated financial statements, the Provincial municipal information return, and other financial reporting for audit.

· Providing advice within the organization and to related Boards and Authorities on options for resolution of financial and reporting issues.

· Research and coordination for implementation of new professional accounting and reporting requirements for municipalities.

· Performing the regular and customary managerial functions including decisions respecting staff hire/promotion, work assignment, performance appraisal, discipline, and leave/overtime authorization.

; {0 a- z w+ J" o, ^$ q· University Degree majoring in accounting or finance, and a Professional Accounting Designation.

· A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in the financial accounting and reporting field.& D% t7 d$ O1 ]4 j) o5 W
6 E* m5 D9 Y, M4 a· Experience with complex computerized financial systems. Familiarity with SAP would be advantageous.; m& s2 [1 g+ l
