• reports directly to the Board of Directors

Staff
7 f9 m! R% P9 T; ^• responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff

• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions& @& R& k2 u% D8 _
• monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators

• overall management of all agency projects/programs and services

• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• conduct program evaluation/survey/research

External Relations
3 M. t1 j2 t) E• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities- s# {9 A0 J, ?; L3 F9 E7 _
• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders2 R% E" \$ g, T: Y* P
• communicate the value of the organization to the public
& R' A" }3 ^( J* |+ C! s• identify community needs and trends
# g& b/ q' i! ^2 q% q• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups5 K6 t+ a4 c( t5 ^' \7 ?7 {$ O
• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
! K3 b- t2 s' @4 V$ V; L• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.

- University degree in a related field; 2 K9 L9 i5 I( S. h/ w' e$ \
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
/ A' i7 ?) h, y4 {- u' T+ n- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
; L6 a6 b; k! J$ u {- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization

- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
