- submit information for community news
+ V- b! m9 i6 w6 G5 Q, @, T) W- provide volunteers to update membership database
5 d1 \" i: Z7 P& L* z- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
3 N* `* L! N( _ ]! _( A- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties. f# c v% p, i; Y; F: n
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties8 N( L$ h1 ^- `/ X$ s
- provide volunteers for various programs ) T. t0 h+ k7 F5 S
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
- G+ Z. H4 K+ I( W8 h# E1 T$ p- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation8 `1 d% R3 [% ]6 j
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities3 L! I2 l7 @5 B D/ E6 r+ ~
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services8 Q8 _, y z( B. p$ ^
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports% t# I( ?; F4 x8 v4 n2 W
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed4 y$ Z: w; j: k- m
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
) i% k# |- }" Z, L- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)1 `* j: \9 P: f) _# N0 } L
- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events / n$ A4 R3 W/ G+ A2 O
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
- E3 R, i5 S+ t$ b: |- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers |6 ]4 K8 h" m7 }0 }) l% x a
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
( F! k$ Y% K9 S! {) M' |/ a( F* n- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis 7 b5 S* y" n$ [" d9 G9 s7 h

U; E" M7 D. t( |- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
, o+ ~# @" v5 p5 [: y- good oral and written Chinese and English skills D! w! K7 x- @* [' M. ~" `* ?+ Q; i
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
& Q8 u% v8 @, J# N! m- leadership skills
0 o# V) |( z3 |- management and supervision skills
/ x" f# W* l$ R# L+ x- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
