Position Title: Volunteer Coordinator , B( W) |- M7 Y3 h1 d
Hours of Work: Full time (35 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities8 U# }8 H" `4 ^# P
- submit information for community news
* a, F$ ]- S( J, e! D, M" A- provide volunteers to update membership database
9 Q! m6 p$ ?7 P4 g9 u h- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers3 k# V" Z: d$ [6 b# {: m( }
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
5 I" Z; c1 h8 K* l! V* e4 p! J- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
. a9 L; H* Q' I. g# h, v- provide volunteers for various programs - X# P' Z8 L: v, o- C
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
6 d/ }: R! F+ l- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
+ v1 J ]& z% K) a: {! w# Z- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities5 Q$ g0 h8 e$ j
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services4 g1 P& k/ T/ v( m
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports; m0 B$ q8 j* `9 Y( t9 }
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed n5 D6 ?; h6 y& ^3 b# Z1 A
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
6 E: n& I8 _* x' E" m' I3 x- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
8 d6 v1 U. O& H6 B- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events ) @% z/ T3 ], W$ X H; r
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual " A* j3 [5 J' x5 Z- y% `" c
- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
1 O5 V! u5 S) \' }) G- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers 4 P4 b1 }" K8 p6 m$ U
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

Qualifications- b# B2 Y, M# a
- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education9 |% T! L1 H# q, W; e3 c
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills T9 D) w. I6 P T: ~
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services X. ^/ S# |! c6 A+ ~) \$ D+ w
- leadership skills

- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills( p, A7 v$ s( C. o/ I
