Hours of Work: Full time (35 hours per week). I% n2 r' n1 b# T: L. j( y: M

- submit information for community news 4 L' m* V4 D) S
- provide volunteers to update membership database
! D+ O8 d/ C7 ~- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
7 M# r9 p P: Q7 Z9 T d/ }- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties, W5 u9 R* u1 Q# b5 s* j* v0 ]1 y/ w) ^
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
: d. u- ]4 d7 y8 Y; Z- provide volunteers for various programs
T3 W$ t$ K9 {5 `. q3 g$ Y- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual+ W& V5 j' K# C" S' Y( ^2 @
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
/ }9 w7 s; d S# M, R- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities) g4 n1 ]! N& A' l
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
9 e4 t2 Y; S. C3 q- o6 }- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports# w' ^( \9 @7 _7 f
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed8 w( x6 o, E9 k x0 R
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed5 b# @7 j; @5 {( ?7 K% D
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
# I# |) O* j$ N- i/ w3 W( _- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

% ~/ j8 D- K' `' d- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers : i$ _) f1 k3 w$ k( S
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
: u# U$ l! |; E- R' m0 Y% S. _' C- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis 4 \- V" O& @9 J! N
- evaluations

) A A+ H' Z: MQualifications
# d3 A X7 v/ F2 a( V- D* S- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
/ w5 Z* S' V K- t4 S& B$ Y- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
9 y+ `5 u* u. Z. v- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
9 s6 Z2 ?4 E) h- leadership skills
7 a2 v* J4 h# O& b; B- management and supervision skills
% S1 x6 x- O' X3 X& e3 M- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
