Apply to Extend my mom's visitor stay

" k( ^6 H/ r; t& Y2 dMy mom's visitor status in Canada is expiring. We are planning to apply for her extension. I did read the application package but have two questions:

! c; F6 i( L( |1 b1. The reasons for an extension. Can we use the reason: we want her help to take care of our new born baby? There are people say it is a bad reason. Is it true?

' r9 {8 e" X6 b( g2. In the Document Checklist - Visitor. Proof of means of support, as specified. Since we are taking care of her, what are the required documents for "proof of means of support"?
