About background check

My case:

/ b  p' n. y( G) v4 d9 ~I sent an email to CIC buffalo yesterday inquiring about my case and got the reply:

) h& y2 v6 S9 N"We have requested background information from other government
( i) @6 k! i! \2 O# l3 joffices(s).  Unfortunately, we cannot provide a date when the processing
' ^, ~! T7 H6 t. A; dof your application will be complete.  We cannot respond to requests for
. x+ j8 r; @+ `! F8 V* Nthe status of your application before this information is received."

8 x, C6 j0 I" X! p* v4 J( _7 vDoes this mean I am undergoing background check? Is it a normal BC and security background check(SBC)? Anybody has idea about how long it is gonna take? Thank you!

不用太担心，他们的回复都是同一格式，不代表一定在作背景调查。我也收到过这样的回复，后来request了一个CAIPS NOTES，发现是不知为什么我老婆得Medical Examinaion的结果他们一直没收到。现在我们就要landing了。你也可以request一个CAIPS NOTES，看看到底是怎么回事。

不一定就是背景调查，　也可能是查再加拿大有无犯罪记录什么的，不用担心。
