This is a long term posting with the successful applicants being called to fill positions on an ‘as-required’ basis.: o7 c9 I& I; f' o' H" ^" i

& q0 v v1 p l7 p$ t' g, d. e8 ?• Transport passengers to and from destinations on prescribed scheduled routes.+ u( @4 E% I6 W2 Z6 z
• Collect proper fare, issue transfers.
" O# ?( i* g N" e& Z• Respond to customer queries concerning transit information.1 J' s/ m" l+ R- z4 D7 E
• Operate a Transit diesel bus and/or trolley coach, on a day, night or split shift under varying weather

JOB REQUIREMENTS:' A- Q" g7 j) U2 X) |5 J! {8 c
• Grade eleven (11) or an equivalent educational level is required. Formal training in driving or public relations will be considered an asset.4 _7 t/ b' g* G" p# o l
• Proven ability to deal directly with the public, with well-developed customer service skills; the ability
# r0 ^9 G. F9 }: M) P7 qto be diplomatic and courteous in dealing with the public, from the first passenger to the last passenger

( F& N2 t; d- h9 [6 \4 ]; i* q# U• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job (operate bus controls, re-set trolley poles, provide passengers with assistance i.e. strollers, wheelchairs etc.).% L3 ]2 F& ~. r. `
• Applicant must possess a valid class 5 Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's license (non-probationary and non-graduated) and must have held a valid operator's license for (3) consecutive years.. e4 {. J1 m: C; q
• Selected applicants must pass the Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's class 2 written test, at their own expense, prior to training.
3 L% i# Y6 ]- O• Applicant must provide a current driver's abstract (obtained within 14 days of the video test date)

• Ability to pass a written English comprehension test, a public relations video-test, a driving skill
